Happy Birthday Dale!  I’ll be chowing down on a big plate of lutefisk hot dish in your honor.

Happy birthday! Now that you’re among the elderly you’ll probably be slowing down a bit.

What’s even scarier  is that you’re eligible for AARP membership at 50!

But actually being able to retire at 50 is another story![;)]  Still, AARP membership does come with some perks…as the cradle-robbing Mrs. SC will attest.

Happy birthday, although I could’ve sworn you were a couple of years younger than you actually are!

Yes, folks, today wanderingjew is entering his “late 40s”.  Geeze, he’s just a puppy!  But since he mentioned it more than once, I wanted to wish him a very Happy Birthday.  May he continue to travel, eat and amaze us with his trip reports.  Happy Birthday, Dale!!!!!

    Wanderingjew,
I do remember John Lennon with the Beatles making their debut on Ed Sullivan’s show.
And I remember Jack Kennedy being sworn in as President.  We all got out of school early when he was assasinated.  And YES I too get AARP mail.  That makes me OLD.  Sheesh.

Almost everyone is much younger than he.

Good thing you said “Almost” old timer.

    Buddy

Old timer? I’ll have you know I am well seasoned.

    That’s a solid 25 year period as a gap.

    Happy birthday, Dale…

A time comes when birthdays become mere markers of survival, so enjoy them while you are still young at heart.
My 84th passed quietly last November, but it was  occasion for me finally  realize that , yes, indeed, I am one of the old folks – a group I have always held in some disdain (not the individuals within the group – just the group – “some of my best friends are old folks…”).

    Cheers, John

I’ve got a good decade and a half (or more) before I can be classified “a senior citizen”

Don’t fool yourself, Old Man. Those “senior menus” now start at 55!  ðŸ™‚

My rule of thumb is based on the following
1- if John Lennon has always been dead then you’re a pup
2- if you remember Jack Kennedy being alive then you’re “a little long in the tooth”

How did you know we were going to share a magnum of Geritol?  That 60 oz. pitcher of peach margarita sounds much better!
