Current thread running right now with recipes for ham loaf…..Including a recipe from my mother on it.
Nearly all the ham loaf recipes with which I am familiar use ground ham and ground pork.
It is called Spam. It is found in the isle with the chicken/ham spread. Comes in a blue can if I remember correctly.
I am trying to make these Iowan meatballs that were fantastic made by one of the Church Ladies in rural Iowa. They are baked in a sort of mild Bar-B-Que sauce and they are out of this world. I got the recipe and it uses good ground beef but also something I have no idea what it is
(SPAM)? It is called Ham Loaf.
Would anyone have some info they could share on this Midwest creation?
Thanks
Ham Loaf
