Yes, I use a coffee grinder that is dedicated to grinding spices and grind up the bread to clean it out too.
I have a small grinder that I use for spices. Thats not what I am talking about. I am talking about an upright Burr Grinder the type you see right in the coffee aisle of a grocery store for grinding 5lb bags of coffee beans……Russ
That’s a good tip about the cleaning. we use the grinder to make our own chili powder out of whole dried chiles. much better than the stuff you buy.
Yes, Russ…I use a separate coffee grinder ( from Walmart ) for whole spices…They do a wonderful job…After using,put a piece of bread inside the grinder and grind away…Clean grinder !
I just aquired an old commercial coffee grinder. Just like the ones you would see in a grocery store.Has anyone ever tried using one as a spice grinder?…..Russ
