Another place mentioned often is the Dixie Truck Stop in McLean IL. Not sure if that is on your way.
Looks like there is a new Soda Fountain/Candy Shop in Tuscola IL, south of Champaign. It’s listed over on the Roadfood News board. I think it’s called Flesors.
Wellyes. I have planned out about 10 places im going to eat at down in Memphis, Im just trying to find good food getting to memphis. Thinks for the sugestion, if you have any more Memphis Breakfast sugestions, id be glad to hear them.
Gonna cross that bridge into Memphis? Downtown Memphis is a weekdays lunch only place called Leonard’s on Main Street, where the trolley cars run. It’s a buffet, and a terrific bargain. I especially recommend their whiskey corn puddin’ and the butter roll dessert. I think the courthouse was around the corner, and on the side streets there was street parking available.
The night before we ate at Blues City Caf�. BBQ offerings are severely limited on Sundays, so we know there are better ribs there, but we still enjoyed it.
On Beale Street is the most amusing general store, A. Schwab’s, which is worth your time.
Im going down to Memohis this summer, and I want to know is there any good food from Kankakee IL to West Memphis AR, Ill be taking I 94 from waterford,MI to Chicago then hopping on I 57, then 55 in MO all the way down to Memphis.
