We are actually booked up for the rest of the year doing festivals.  However this location is dynamite. This location offers high traffic count, major intersection, ample parking and possibility of a friendly city hall. We had originally thought about putting a hotdog cart here. Also we know all the land owners around the site and the city requires written letters from adjacent property owners. Our snack bar in the auction house is just down the street. Not going to commit to the location at this time, may do a few weekends out of the year.

There are dozens of great craft shows and events up in you neck of the woods, some of the best vending opportunities in the country.  Be careful about making even verbal commitments to any one location until you are sure it is the right one.  Small towns can be very unforgiving, and as you know, gossip travels fast, especially negative gossip.  We spent 8 or so great years doing shows in the Atlanta area.  just my .02

We did our first gig this weekend with our new trailer. We were given permission to set up in front of the Braselton Antique Mall. Saturday was kind of a dress rehearsal for us. Didn t do a lot of business but that was OK it gave us time to test out the ice shaver and the lemon squeezer. Sunday afternoon the city had a small parade. We did have a small rush before and after the parade.  Didn t lose money nor make much. We did purchase a Star Hotdog steamer from a former hotdog vendor for $200, it is missing one of the lids but since we are not using it for self serve a ½ pan lid should fit it. Going to clean it up and use it at the Auction House snack bar.
There was a small festival in the park down the street from us. The crowd was OK; we would probably have done better there on Sunday then where we were at.  Not many drink vendors but several food vendors.
The lady who owns the Antique Mall wants us to set up regularly. We did have several people stop just to get shaved ice. We are going to check with the city to see if it is feasible.  If we add hotdogs and sodas to our menu we can probably do a good business opening Friday afternoon, Saturday & Sunday.
As soon as I can learn to post pictures I will.
