Maybe I should have added that I am in South Carolina, where we have had many days of 100+ heat indicies…with real temps around 95-100 degrees…..
Thats why I was so shocked at how low my bill was….
My bill is about like SassyGritsAl. Hey, it’s summer in the deep South. What do we expect? But when some of you don’t see the ground for weeks at a time in the winter, my heating bill will be paltry.
I can’t wait to cool off enough to sit on the front porch.
Utility last month was $400.00. I water the yard daily but I pump from the Tennessee River. The 220 pump uses power like an AC. Our house is not that large. Only 2800 SF.
Thank God the dog days are almost over with. Come on September where the days are warm and the nights are cool.

Wish I had a $66 utility bill, I would jump for joy. Mine is $319, guess I will have to float a loan, and believe it or not this was not my highest bill I have ever had.
Uh, you have me confused with some other poster/posteress..
Oh, and I have 1100 sq’ft of living space that is cooled.
I really am shocked at how low the bill is.
Ours was over $250 in June, as it was a very very hot month. And we ended up having to have a new air conditioner installed. Yeeks.
Roossy, when I read your title, I thought you were super pissed off about something.
the heat got to me and we got an air conditioner for the bedroom.
our bill shot up from 60 to 90 bucks.[V]
Ours was $200.00 for 1,300 SF living area in a very well insulated house. Oh well, we make up for it in the winter.
My electric bill for last month was $125.
Well, I am glad that the HOT spell here has finally passed.
We had a little bit of rain, and it is actually comfortable today.
One other thing I was suprised at was my electic bill.
It was only 2 dollars more than last month. I was expecting sticker shock, but was pleasantly surprised when I got the bill.
It was only $66 bucks, and the month before was only $64..
Finally Cooled off here..
