I tried it on a burger..once. I should note that, normally, I like limburger, with beer, but this experiment didn’t work.
They are all good, so far, and cheese always makes it better. I’ve never had limburger, though……….
I love Feta cheese and a thick slice of raw onion.
Swiss on a mushroom burger, but real cheddar on a regular burger.
Provolone! Swiss on a mushroom burger, shredded “real” cheddar cheese on a bacon burger. Remember! if American cheese slices last for a year or more in your fridge do you really think it’s cheese……..
As some folks say it’s always betta with chedda!!!!
One slice each of Swiss and American.
Bacon and blue
Two slices of Sharp American. On a mushroom burger, like the others, a good Swiss.
I like blue cheese on my salad, not on my burger. I do sell a lot of bacon & blue burgers with grilled onions & horseradish mayo though, so it is popular on burgers.
Beef and blue cheese are a popular combination. I don’t however get it. I find they compete rather than compliment.

I like either american or sharp cheddar. I also like Mushroom Swiss burgers. I’ve done also Munster cheese on ones made at home. Guess my favorite would be american.
Never tried blue cheese on a burger.
I just bought some NM chiles over the weekend and looking frward to green chile cheeseburgers. Haven’t decided on the cheese. I’m normally a cheddar.
Jack or pepper jack, maybe?
