Wisconsin-based barbecue chain Famous Dave s announced that it is working with vegan brand https://www.beyondmeat.com Beyond Meat to develop new menu items such as barbecue sliders, tacos, and bowls for its meat-heavy menu.

The chain which operates 136 locations in 33 states and three countries will add the new Beyond Meat menu items to five locations (four in Colorado and one in Minneapolis, MN) in mid-August with the intent to expand the options nationwide this fall.

Reports say that this announcement saw Famous Dave’s shares increase as much as ten percent.

Why would I go to a palace of meat to munch on hay?
I m not getting this obsession with fake meat.

Because someone in your group is a vegetarian/vegan?

Because it’s Lent and you can’t stand the thought of another Fish Fry?

Because the doctor says you really should cut down on the amount of meat you’re eating, and least you can smell the BBQ as you eat your not-meat?

Fair analysis!!! My daughter is a Vegan, and she could eat along with us…..[8D]

They might as well have vegan “meat”. Their usual stuff isn’t that good. Maybe they’ll add a whole new class of customer that doesn’t like good ‘Que.

But as a father with a vegan daughter, we choose restaurants and such carefully. It’s good for an expanding market to have more choices. We meat eaters don’t care, believe me, Vegans do!
