You’ve got to venture onto Columbia Street to get the authentic malasadas and Portuguese food! Malasadas are usually only available on the weekend mornings, but if you’re lucky to go during the summer months, there’s usually feasts every weekend that last well into the night. As for dining, I’d recommend Sagres and the TA both in that area. Columbia Street is an experience not to be missed!
Sorry wish I could help you out but very rarely get down that way. With my limited knoledge of Fall River I do know they have a huge Portugese community and I’m sure many great bakerys, try looking for one with a very busy paking lot or many contractor trucks outside, local public works type. Those guys always know where the quality and bargains are. Chow Jim
