My parents live in Crossville. Not much to write home about as far as roadfood goes. Lefty’s is pretty good. There is another BBQ place also on the left about a mile past Lefty’s called "Big Boy’s" that is not bad either. I saw John Hiatt in Big Boy’s last year. He’s a cool guy, talked to me for a little while and introduced me to his wife.
If you decide you need to drive over to Knoxville to eat (or for any other reason), just remember that you lose an hour as the time zone changes in there somewhere between FG and Knoxville. [;)][;)]

Fairfield Glade is a retirement/golfing community that is huge. It is north of Crossville, TN about 10 miles. Very quaint and nice and quite. I hope this link helps.

I grew up a few miles away and don’t know of anything really outstanding in Fairfield Glade or Crossville. The BeanPot just off the Fairfield Glade exit from I-40 is kind of hit-or-miss. If you want some great pizza drive about 35 minutes east to Kingston and try Mama Mia’s pizza.
As you going into Fairfield, on the left is a neat BBQ place that has been there for several years. It ain’t the best I have ever had but it was very good.
I have visited this place several times and each time, I enjoyed it. I am sorry that I do not know the name but you will recoginize it as there are not that many places in Fairfield.
Nice quiet golfing community.

We will be staying at Fairfield Glade for a week in July. Does anyone have suggestions for good places to eat in the area that are not too expensive?
