NYC: 86 degrees (+ humid) yes it feels unhealthy
Today Rockefeller Center opened their outdoor ice skating rink….what about ice skating in your bathing suit????
We just recently came back from the Bahamas and the sun here in KY is still (in Oct.) as hot as it was there but feels less healthy. You could easily lay out and get a tan. Usually this time of year hear, the sun may still be out and it may be as warm but you don’t feel the rays so intensely! (not complaining much because I hate winter!).
Today in West Michigan it will hit 88, same as yesterday, and pretty much the same tomorrow. (Already in the 80’s before the noon hour even hit). But relief is on the way! Starting Tuesday, back down to the lower 60’s where we belong right now. Sure that will make the bow hunters much happier.. But the weather man said another warm up is in sight..
Here in Pittsburgh, it has been approaching record temperatures for a week now. And I hate it! It is October….it should be in the 60s. For the home Steeler game today, it is going to be almost 90! Just ridiculous!
Its gonna be in the 90s this week in coastal Carolina and its killing the fishing.I want some cooler weather and I want it now!
We continue to have warm and dry weather. Our Fall Color is more the result of the extra dry weather than the season. Todays high in Louisville is expected to be 92 degrees, not a record but very close to it. We are 9 inches low on the annual rain-scale.
90+ F in Knoxville yesterday. Worst drought in history. We need lotsa rain PDQ.

I hope this thread pops up again late January or Feburay. Chow Jim
Lake Michigan water temps today where between 68 and 70 degrees… GO AWAY will ya… I work outdoors and have been waiting for the cool down… I hate to say it, but I’ll be glad to see the snow fly..
Oy vey, the heat! They announced they are keeping beaches open with lifeguards on Long Island. They usually close the weekend after Labor Day. Whew!!!
It was semi-hot and very dry here today, as in single digit humidity dry and a mild 85 degrees, but that’s par for the course for this part of Southern Cal in the Fall. We’re in our worst part of the wildland fire season from now until sometime in December.
Here in NE Ohio, it’s been hot non-stop, it seems. Right now- almost 10P.M., it’s 75! Yesterday’s high was 84. Some of the players at local football games last night were getting leg cramps from the heat! Tomorrow’s high is 90, and with the humidity factored in, the "real feel" will be 99! By Wednesday, they’re calling for a high of only 62!
Enough with this hot weather, already!!!
NYC has had the hot HUMID weather continuing since August. It is "supposed to" be cooler this time of year, like autumn, no? I like warm weather, don’t get me wrong, but I need a break here. ]
Is this happening anywhere else in USA?
OK I’m a little early with this. Today minus-2 at my house this morning now at noon a toasty 12 degrees with a pretty good wind chill. Also noticed it snowed in Daytona last night.
Where is that global warming? Chow Jim
I just got back from a Quad City, South Bend, Elkhart and Evansville trip. It was very nice except some hard rain I encountered in Chicago. I gotta go to all over Michigan next week. No telling what the weather will be like there. The week after that I will be in Lakeland FL. I look for super weather there plus some nice Cuban food.
I was in Brownsville, TX a couple of weeks ago and it was 98F every day.
Here in Knoxville, it is dry and pretty. We need lotsa rain soon.
