I’ll share my modern technology bathroom story. On a department store project I had designed, I learned our consulting engineers weren’t coordinated with each other. The plumbing engineer had selected electronic fixtures and didn’t bother to tell the electrical engineers down the hall, so there was no power planned for the fixtures. Luckily it was caught before it was bid, but in the meeting, the client remembered this story from one of their other stores:
A lady goes into the bathroom, selects a stall and goes about her business. The room had motion sensors to control the lighting and the timing was a bit quick. As she was sitting, she was going through her purse looking for something and the lights went out. Startled, she stood up, dropped her car keys in the toilet and the automatic sensor flushed the toilet…true story.
I have no problem with them
Except that my brother has automatic lights in his guest bathroom. I have to remember that it’s “just” the lights.

I hate them, you spend hours[maybe seconds], waving your hand around trying to find the electronic eye.
I couldnt agree more!!
Ya bend over and it flushes, etc… THE ORIGINAL WAY IS THE BEST!!
The idiots who dont flush are the reason these things exist i think!
I dont mind touching things AS I ALWAYS WASH MY HANDS AFTERWARDS!!
I like the automatic sinks, toilets and papertowel dispensers…now if only they would make the door open out so I don’t have to touch rhe handle when I leave.
