A dryer or range plug & matching receptacle will handle the power with no problem. If the electrician doesn’t know that, then you had better get another electrician. We have worked on houses (professional remodelers) for decades and have run into lots of electricains that don’t know their head from a hole in the ground.

Go to a place that sells mobile homes (not RVs… single wide mobile homes). They plug into 100 to 150 amp poles all the time WITH PLUGS. In a park where the site is rented, they do not hard wire to the power pole.

Only way to do it is cable, plugs and recepticals….
Go to an electrical supply house, ask them what type of waterproof plugs and recepticals thaty have…. and they might carry the cable too….or be able to order it for you.
50A cable requires a 6ga wire…. 100A needs a 2ga….they might not have a big calling to stock something like that…….and it’s going to be HEAVY…. how far will you have to run it?

What I had  done was have my own meter installed, on a seperate drop from the building I am at because the wiring in that place was a nightmare according to my electrician.

He just put up a meter base and wired a receptical in it. City power feeds straight from their arial feed to the meter.
He is a buddy of mine, didn’t charge me, but said it would run about $400.

Just go talk to an electrician. They can put together a cable and 100amp 125/250V cord/plug and receptacle. Just explain that you are a mobile unit and need to be able to unplug from the power pole, without having to call an electrician every time you need to do so.

I’ve never found a 100 amp plug & receptacle and don’t believe these are available.    It’s too easy to straight wire to the breaker.    But, I know the box and plug shown above will work just fine.

arthur  ….  amp your service lines and check your actual loading.   I think you see the actual current draw is less than 50 amps.

i did and the electrican that was hired by the building i will be parking at didnt know and im trying to see if i can find out the info on my own

If that electrician can’t figure out something as simple as how to supply you with 100a power to your trailer, I would say that you need to find a different electrician.

The city will terminate at a meter. From the meter wire to a 100 amp box & breaker or a knife switch.  These are less expensive than Main Breakers and will do the job. You have a Main in the trailer.   … From there wire to  this load center. ($25)
…. install matching plug ($20) on the end of your elect. line. …   I think a box & plug call P54 (???) for a mobile home is the same.    This is a 50amp rated box, just use larger wire for 100 amp.   It has worked well for me for more than 30 years.     …  I do not know of any 100 amp receptacles & plug boxes.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PULL THE PLUG WITHOUT FLIPPING THE BREAKER OFF.

The cable above is $19 a foot…. you can do a little better at an electrical supply house… but still spendy.   Why not have the gas installed and forgo the 100 a panel ?…..it’s just lots of wasted $$ for a temporary setup.

ciconepizza…..what are you running that requires 100 amps?
Waterproof 100a ends are a few hundred bucks each….
Sure you can’t get by with 50a?
