Lexington #1 and the BBQ Center in Lexington, NC both have curb service.
We still have Bobo’s Drive in here in Topeka, KS – it’s been here for about 50 years, and is still going strong. Good burgers and apple pie. Car hops, too.
Howard’s on Rt9 in W. Brookfield, MA. I have posted a 3rd paty link in the past, but it no longer works.
Lou’s Drive-In on Knoxville Ave.(Route 40) in Peoria, IL (good food and curbies for over 50 years!)

If you’re headed west, Dick’s Drive-Ins throughout the Seattle area have Been around for 20 or more years and are still making excellent burgers. Also hand-dipped shakes. There are at least 4 or 5 all over town. Be aware the one in the university area (Wallingford) is under construction and the parking lot is pretty torn up, but you can still get through to the window to get your burger fix.

Very Interesting. Please give more specific directions. I have visited Etowah may times and the entrance to Cherohala is not so good from there.

I found a very interesting link, including references to one of the Beaumont Pig Stands!

There are several Pig Stands across Texas that, while not offering the finest food anywhere, still offer good, hot road food. I used to go to the ones in Beaumont, TX quite a bit when I lived there.

RO’s in Gastonia, NC. Drive up and someone will come out and take your order.
They call themselves a BBQ joint. They aren’t, but their roast pork sandwiches with that special slaw are wonderful. The slaw makes a pretty tasty dog also. Actually, just the slaw makes a good sandwich.
O.K. I’m not takking Sonic here. I’ve been to some pretty awsome Mom and Pop Drive-ins in the last few years but they are dissapearing very quickly because of chain compition. A few that come to mind are Cy’s drive-in in Colo. Spgs. CO, Screamers in Wickenburg AZ, Fat Tom’s Tasty Freeze in Colo. Spgs. Does anybody have a favorite little mom and pop drive-in that they want to share before it’s too late?
