    BLT Dip
    8oz mayo
    8oz sour cream
    3 tomatoes, seeded & chopped
2 packages oscar meyer bacon bits
    shredded lettuce for garnish
    crackers of your choice

Mix together mayo & sour cream, works together easier if you have them @ room temperature. Mix in tomato chunks & bacon bits. Garnish with lettuce & serve with crackers.

    No Name Dip
    8oz cream cheese
    8oz sour cream
    1 tsp minced garlic
    1/2 package shredded cheddar cheese
    bacon bits (optional)
    crackers

Mix together cream cheese & sour cream, again it is easier to do this if they are both at room temp, then mix in the garlic, cheese & bacon. Serve!

2 dips from weight watchers, you can make them light, or not-light.

    White Dip
    8oz cottage cheese
    8oz sour cream
    1 small onion, chopped
1 tsp-1 Tbsp horseradish (to taste)
crackers, vegetables, etc to serve with

Mix all ingredients together in a food processor or blender. If you don’t have one then just mix it, it still tastes good. Serve with crackers.

    Pink Dip
    1 cup sour cream
1 cup salsa (I like medium, you can use hot or mild, I can’t stop you. [;)]
veggies or crackers or tortilla chips

Mix together sour cream & salsa. Serve!

Ridiculously easy but always the first to disappear is a tuna fish dip. I use solid white tuna packed in water, onions, and celery. Mix it thinner than you would for a sandwich so the chips, crackers, etc, do not break while dipping. Works every time for me. [:)]

Not only is the Gahanna Grill still there, but so is Beanie, and so is the Beanie Burger.
Oh, and I am referring to Ohio State games, and to New York Giants games, among others.

Being in my neck of the woods, I didn’t know anyone could be a quiet Buckeye fan, which is what games to which, I’m assume, you’re referring. It’s Columbus, OH, are there any other games? Used to work in Gahanna. Is the Gahanna Grill still there? Oh, I should probably stay on topic. I like Ranch dip sometimes with spicy barbecue chips.

When I watch a game I am not enthusiastic. I watch quietly, either hurting or exulting — but inside, not out loud.

Actually, Greymo, the first television set I received was on the occasion of my 25th wedding anniversary.

We got our first television set in 1947, although I saw my first television program in 1946 — the Joe Louis-Billy Conn fight at Yankee Stadium.

Oh, and I was a kid back then.

The relationship is not between football and dips; it’s between television and dips. If the football game is on TV, it’s therefore dip connected.

Since I know you like a definitive source, Mr. Hoffman, page 255 of the Stern’s 1985 "Square Meals" should help clarify the connection.

I find it quite amazing that anyone would connect watching television to stuffing one’s face. But, I suppose there are all sorts of people out there.

I do not sequester myself. I merely prefer to watch by myself. I am, of course, the only decent company in the world.

    Swiss Cheese dip.

1 lb Swiss cheese (not Baby Swiss, trust me) freshly shredded
    1 half red onion diced
Combine in a bowl, add mayo until creamy consistency.
I also like a little fresh ground black pepper, but that’s me.

Ever see that Jarlsberg dip at the deli for $8.99/lb? This is it. Around Columbus, OH it used to be called Al’s Appetizer in the stores. I usually get Town House crackers for this.

C’mon Michael – are you that obnoxious watching the game that you have to sequester yourself?

Sure I have a dog. She’s 14 now, and has begun having a difficult time hunting. Unfortunately, she’s my last dog.
