The Dinosaur Barbecue in Rochester sounds like it’s just the kind of place that will provide me with an excuse to take the new high speed ferry that’s scheduled to begin service across Lake Ontario from Toronto to Rochester in the summer of 2004!

Thanks, chezkatie. I go to that Fairway fairly often…I just never considered that avenue to be 12th, but I guess I’m wrong. See, you can keep learning things about the place you live, even after 18 years….

Where did you read that? I feel badly as I cannot see how they can recapture the REAL Dinosaur BBQ in Syracuse. Where else would you find waitress with gold stars in their teeth and tatoos everywhere. I wish them luck but cannot picture bikers in NYC sitting next to lawyers and picking away at barbeque bones!

On one hand — as an NYC resident who happens to love the Dinosaur — I’m very excited to hear this. On the other hand, I echo several of chezkatie’s concerns although I believe one can certainly find a similar array of characters in NYC. On the third hand…there’s such a place as 131st and 12th? If there is, then there’s no doubt in my mind that they’ll be able to find the right kinds of staff.
