Is a Daisy Hams a canned ham?
Maybe I’m thinking about Danish Hams.
Taylor Ham is not ham. It is a processed pork that is made in rolls similar to salami or bologna, and it is, in fact, more properly known as Taylor Pork Roll. A Daisy ham is a small cut of pork shoulder that has been boned, salted, and smoked. It’s also known as a smoked pork shoulder butt. You can buy them online.
No they are not.
Taylor Ham is probably something you can get maybe in Westchester county, but it is a NY, NJ thing. If you love salt, you’ll love Taylor Ham.
I see frequent references in forums to Taylor Hams and I’m wondering if this the same thing as Daisy Hams. Can’t seem to find those anymore in our area, in fact I haven’t had one in 35 years. They were a low cost staple when I was a kid.
