We had lunch yesterday at a newish, and new-to-me, Chinese restaurant in Geneva. It was quite good, and I enjoyed it very much.
We started with Chinese broccoli in oyster sauce.
Pot Stickers. They’re a bit doughy, with a rather thick skin, but quite tasty.
Dan Dan spicy noodles. They were very good, although a bit on the spicy side for me. I really liked them anyway!
We ended with Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings). Again, they were very good. The filling kept dropping out before I got them from my chop sticks to my spoon. I managed it in the last one, and it was very good to get the dumpling, the filling, and the soup all at the same time. By that time they had cooled off just enough so I could eat it all in one bite.
Now I have cravings. It all looks great.
I love Chinese broccoli – yum – and Dan Dan is one of my benchmark dishes by which to gauge Chinese restaurants – that looks pretty good.
And — now I have to add some frozen potstickers to my shopping list.
