I had them in Knoxville and my opinion is that they are good as horse dervers similar to hush puppies.
A little sauce and they go good with evening libation[:I]

Oops, it wasn’t Mr. Mayor, sorry TJ.
I see Mr. Mayor beat me to this subject! Our LJS has been advertising them on their sign for about a month, only last night did I see the first commercial. Almost stopped to get one today on the way to work but figured they want a heck of alot more than .99 for them. Maybe if they fried it a little longer they wouldn’t be so doughy, I’ll report back after I try them! BTW, if I have typed it in enough posts, this would be Gainesville, FL.
Mr Mayor: I had one of these today.
Cost: 99 cents
Flavor: Bland and doughy
Seafood content: perhaps 20%
Overall: I suppose it was worth 99 cents. Maybe
Pretty much as exected….except I figured the price would be about double what I was charged.
we are only 100 miles away so don’t judge the size of the market sample by Louisville….but the ads are running here too.
So I’m watching TV tonight, and on comes a commercial for Long John Silver’s, advertising…
LOBSTER STUFFED CRABCAKES?
Say what?
Is this a local thing in Cincinnati or are they doing this all over? Just curious. I figure to eventually try it just to satisfy my curiousity, knowing full well I’ve never had a good meal there…
