….checking my IM’s, PM’s and email for my invitation………
I’ll be in Wausau for a bowling tournament 3/23 and 3/24
we are wide open that weekend for whatever hijinks get planned,
and it will be great to see you both, it’s been too long
Would like to join you all on Sunday, any idea of the first stop and time to meet?
The locals will be happy to take the lead, but a little guidance from our guest would be appreciated. How many total stops are you interested in? Any places you’ve been wanting to try but haven’t gotten around to? Anything you’d particularly like us to avoid?
Looking forward to Sunday!
Cliff, have you tried a Mother-In-Law sandwich yet? Fat Johnnie’s serves a decent version.
Plus, the neighborhood around 71st and Western is wonderful. Plenty of coffee shops and art museums…
Ask Gregg to take you!
No reason whatsoever to leave Westmont. #WestmontEats
Gertie’s makes a good hot fudge sundae, and if you’re going there, you may as well go a few extra blocks to Calumet Fisheries.
Also, have we narrowed down the day- Saturday? Sunday? Both? We’re just not available Friday.
We’ll be starting Sunday off at Ann Sather’s with a normal breakfast time meal. While I don’t have the exact time fixed, it will most likely be before the Roadhouse Household has heard the cock crow!
I’ll let CTD set the breakfast time then I’ll build from there. Of all the places listed, Red Hot Ranch opens the earliest, at 10:30am. Maybe back time Ann Sather’s based on that. Not sure which location CTD has in mind, but except for the Granville store, they’re all reasonably close to either Red Hot Ranch location.
The forecast for Sunday is low 50s and scattered showers, so I’m thinking we go to the Ashland Avenue RRH where we can eat inside. If the weather improves we can call an audible and head to the original location to enjoy dining al fresco along scenic Western Avenue.
After that, it’s a toss up for what comes next; Boba Burger or Bob-O’s. Any preference from our guest (note the lower case)?
Finally, if we end the day at Sugar Shack on 26th St., you’ll be just 35 minutes from Midway.
How’s that work for you?
Sounds good….Ann Sather’s at 9am with a location to be picked by Friday. Even if there is a wait, we should be out by 10:30am. Don’t want to get there to early for day old fries.
Great looking line up! Looking forward to seeing everyone.
I am The Anti-Spreadsheet, bow before me!
P.S. Don’t worry about CTD. He’s got his own secret tour for buffetbuster on Friday and Saturday.
Absolutely! You wait there, we’ll meet up with you.
I think I spotted a few Pinkertons in the background.
