Saw this on MSN.com. Some great looking classic diners.

Only one I’ve been to is Mickey’s in St. Paul. The diner itself is a wonderful retro throwback, but I have to say I was not impressed with the food.
True on that score. I’ve been to several classic diners, including Mickey’s, and none really had significant food to report. They probably never had. Mickey’s Diner was also a “star” in Robert Altman’s last ensemble movie, Prairie Home Companion. As far as diners go it probably is one of the most classic in appearance which makes it a movie magnet.
I’ve been to just one of them — Lawrence Park Diner in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Someone needs to give him car fare to the west coast!
Nice list and report but.

I’ve been to four of the diners on this list, my favorite being Village Diner in Red Hook, New York.

[/p][p]F. Paul Wilson’s latest Repairman Jack novel, The Last Christmas. Great read. Love Repairman Jack!!![/p][p]
Same here! But I love the LaNague Chronicles even more. Wilson is just a great writer! Right now I am reading “Stars and Stripes in Peril” book two of Harry Harrison’s alt-history of the Civil War and a war with Britain.[/p]
