A nice place to take your mother, altough it is a little expensive, is Tavern on the Green. The place is all decorated for christmas. We are going there Christmas eve and it is $79 per person. The Crystal room is over a hundred dollars a person. Check out their website and click on holiday events. If you plan to go there you probably have to make reservations pretty quick.
Hello all, hope your holidays are foodful and fun thus far.
Here’s my challenge:
My mother is coming to visit me here in Manhattan, and she desperately wants a nice dinner on Christmas day. Given that my cooking skills involve liberal trips to the local restaurants and delis for premade microwavable food, I’d like to take her OUT for dinner. But where’s a good place that’s going to be open?
She likes seafood and beef. She’s not looking so much for a "dining experience" (though that’s not out of the question) as for just good food. I want to expose her to something that shows how much good stuff the city has to offer. No problem, right?
Help!
