Sounds like you had a good time.
Sam, Trudy, myself and Jordan(a friend of Sam’s)had a wonderful roadfood day last Sunday when we visited Lincoln City on the Oregon Coast. We stopped at Farmer John’s Fruit Stand just outside McMinnville for Blueberry Shortcake and Trudy purchased a peach salsa while the boys played hide and seek in a corn maze.
We spent a good portion of the day at the Oregon State Barbeque championships at Spirit Mountain Casino. Lots of vendors. I sampled a Hot link meal from Terrell’s Texas Bar-B Q which was good(a killer sauce that was hot, hot, hot). We also watched a rib-eating contest and I lost a little money at blackjack and roulette while Trudy won at slots(life is unfair). The boys played video games for a couple hours.
We ate at Dory Cove, a restaurant reviewed on this site. Good burgers, marionberry pie, clam chowder. A solid seafood restaurant right next to Roads End State park where the boys and I built sand castles on the beach. Trudy went outlet shopping (and did not bankrupt us because she won money). On the way home we stopped at Salmon River Pronto Pup in Otis. Great dogs which the boys liked.
