Chino Bandito takee outee is the bomb!
I bet you didn’t know the place was frequented by Karsten Solheim (the inventor of PING) and his family.
It has a fusion of Mexican, Jamaican, and Chinese. They, therefore, have healthy and some extremely spicy food. I could live on the Jamaican Fried rice, or the Diablo chicken cheese crisps. The black beans are to die for too. The combinations are endless, and the prices are reasonable.
I learned about Chino’s a few months ago and LOVE that place! The one in Chandler is right behind our favorite Vietnamese place, Cyclo. The Jerk Fried Rice with Emerald Chicken Quesadilla w/ Jade Red Chicken and sweet black beans….YUM! Nice and Spicy!!!! Plus a cookie to cool the mouth, does it get any better!
We love Chinos. We go there everytime we get to Phoenix. Don’t let the weird combos scare you off, I think everyone should give it a try.
Born in OKC
There used to be a double or maybe it was a triple ethnic place in Halifax. Can anyone say if it is still in business?
We go to Chino Banditos every time we get to Phoenix. Don’t let the strange combination deter you. It’s all great, and you can sample anything you want before you order it.
This is one crazy place. It is just a weird combination of mexican and chinese food.
After my visit there I’ve decided to go to a Chinese restaurant or a mexican restaurant…but not somewhere both is served.
It just spoiled our night.
Some years ago there was an attempt to start of double ethnicity chain in Columbus, Ohio. It was Presutti and Chins — Italian and Chinese. The first and only one lasted for all of, oh, I guess three months. Thank goodness.
I just want to share one of my new favorites that has opened a new location in Chandler, AZ. Chino Bandito is Chinese/Mexican take out. has to be tried to be believed, which is why they offer you 7 or so samples of their most popular dishes before you order to give you an idea of the possibilities. I know they have a pretty good following up at their other location on 19th ave and Greenway, but I want to make sure that the Chandler location on Chandler blvd. and Dobson continues to grow. Anyone been there, have any thoughts?
