Dinosaur BBQ has a great BBQ chicken Philly on the lunch menu…

Couple of my favorites in the Philly area…
Iskabibbles on South Street (They claim to have invented it)
La Vera in Croydon, PA
Slack’s Hoagie Shack – chain
Tony
I love making my own, I especialy like it with chicken thighs since it is all dark meet and the juicy, but harder to work with. I saw Minute Steak or a similiar company is making chicken minute steaks.

I will make you a Chicken CHEESESTEAK.. and NOT a Chicken Philly![;)]I am going to email you…
If you could email me a chicken cheesesteak, I would be most grateful, and suprised, seems they always get gummed up in the servers![;)]

You’re absolutely right, and I stand corrected, it is Geno’s. Between the nastiness of Pat’s and the xenophobia at Geno’s, coupled with the fact that they both make a greasy inferior product these days, there’s no reason to get your cheesesteaks from 9th and Passyunk (sp?).

it is funny, I made the mistake of ordering a "philly" at Pats steak and they damn near threw me out. They really seem to have a lovely contempt for the general public at Pat’s. Imagine if you asked with a foreign accent!

I LOVE chicken cheesesteak. The best I’ve had are down the Jersey shore tucked away in a little spot on the boardwalk. Delicious. 3 styles, regular, hot, and nuclear. Nuclear is the best. Some places screw it up and don’t slice the chicken up and it’s just not right.
99 miles to Philly, here in NY…excellent chicken cheesesteak…i try to convince myself that it is less fattening than a regular cheesesetak, but to be honest, I don’t think there is much of a difference!

We take a fresh chicken breast, grill it on the flat top, then slice it up and mix green peppers & onions, and top it with swiss cheese..
On a hoagie roll..Very popular.
We call it a Chicken Philly.

Q:"you want a cheese steak buddy"
A: "yes please"

believe it or not the best chicken cheesesteak I have had is in Tequesta, FL (Bluemaxx’s back yard) at a place called Rinaldi’s, I think he hits it with a shot of balsamic and carmelizes the onions. AMAZING
