CamSkater, here is a repeat of a previous post which you may find interesting. I absolutely agree w/ you. And, BTW, welcome to Road Food. You’ll find this a great site w/ some terrific people.
I can’t verify the claim about it being the original home of the CB, but if you want a truly GREAT cheeseburger you’ve got to visit the Cherry Cricket in Cherry Creek. It’s just a bar, but it is known all over the area and is visited by all kinds of people from U of Denver students, downtown office workers, suburbanites, construction workers, you name it. More ways to build your own burger than you can possibly imagine, plus about 80 different beers on their beer menu (nineteen on draft). If you crave a good burger in Denver this is the place! The Cherry Cricket in Cherry Creek was rated by the Denver Post last year as one of the best burger nooks in the state. I’ve been there numerous times and let me tell ya, the newspaper was right. The meat just tastes fresh and the ingredients are delicious. Highly reccomend going for anyone making their way to Denver!
