I just can’t get over the excessive waits you inevitably have to endure at almost all of their restaurants. It seems to me that no matter when or where you go, it is always packed, and you have a minimum of a half hour/forty-five minute wait.
I did, however, manage to eat there once, for Sunday brunch, and actually was able to walk in with my party and get seated immediately. I almost fainted!
I agree with the portion comments….although they are great for plate sharing specifically because of this. And I do love their avocado egg rolls!
I’ll go there and share a meal or have them pack up half right away. I think their foods are good. I’m willing to eat chicken there, which is usually my statement as to quality. I won’t eat chicken at a lot of places. I
‘ve had have issues. I’d place it above chilis or TGIFridays in tasty food. It is a chain. There is no getting away from that, but I would gladly take picky people there knowing they would be able to find something on the hundred page menu and it would be good. I can’t say that about most places. That being said, I go there maybe once or twice a year. It is not the first place that comes to my mind.
Big ass or not it was good.[:D]
Not much of a humble opinion…
Well, you have obviously learned the secret of their success–Quantity, rather than quality.
What do people always mention FIRST when they speak of Cheesecake Factory? They invariably talk about the HUGE portions. When people talk about the size of the portions before they mention the quality of the food, that is a very good clue as to the true nature of what is being served.
Oh, and did you notice the width of the butts of most of the patrons waiting in line for that place? That is also a situation of massive quantity in all too many cases, and I have to think that there is a correlation.
I had recently went to the Cheesecake factory for lunch, it was about 11am.They had a breakfast menue(it may only be on the weekend)-this was one of the biggest breakfast I have ever had. The menu options were great-something different for breakfast. 2 people could have eaten this meal. I had chicken hash over fried tortilla, (hash browns/eggs/and a great southwest cream sauce. Needles to say that the rest of the menu is great.
