Cash Handling / Banking Worries - what do you think?

Thanks BillyB, you really are one of the most helpful figures on this forum.

I’ll try and get it bolted out of sight and so nobody will see me fiddling with it.

Fortunately, my bank has told me that their ATMs can take cash deposits 24/7 – no coins though!!!

I’m a bit surprised nobody has had bad experiences with gangsters and thieves – can this be true?

You could drop your money in a drop bag w/deposit slip and they will count and deposit. We use the night deposit drop box, on the outside of the bank. you could have a drop box area installed/welded to the cart. Your going to have to do your banking sometime, to get change…………BillyB

I was thinking along those lines. Have you ever seen one of these drop-boxes or hidden cash-boxes? Can you describe one and where it sits?

I guess I could just ask the cart fabricator to use his own engineering skills and common-sense, to come up with the best solution.

I’ll check if my bank has one of those late night deposit boxes, it’d really make life much easier.

Btw do you have to count and bag up the cash before it goes in? That would mean I’d have to go home first anyway.

Hi all!

I would appreciate your opinions on my banking situation.

I can only use my location between 7am and 7pm, but all of the banks will be closed by the time I finish.

I am not supposed to leave my cart unattended and the nearest bank is about 300 yards away and is not my bank in any case.

Also I was wondering if any of you had had experiences with robbers or shake-downs?

It is a very safe area, but there are gangs everywhere in London looking for “protection” money. I am not at all inclined to give them any of mine. Have you experienced this?

I was also considering asking the fabricator to install a hidden safe somewhere in the body of the cart, where I could put extra takings if I have not been able to bank them yet.

I was wondering if you had any ideas or experiences regarding the above.
