This is ours. We built it ourselves using mostly materials we had on hand. We started in NC as a hot dog cart with umbrella. Took it to NM where we feared we would lose the umbrella due to the wind. Then we took it to TX and added more to pass TX codes as a mobile kitchen (no commissary needed). We recently built a bun steamer into the cart in the space under the cash drawer. That’s not in the pictures.
With my cash being tight and no job it looks like my idea of a food truck will have to be put on the back burner. So for now I might have to go with just a hot dog cart and make some money. Being in FL I am limited to what I can sell but I will try it anyway. I’ve looked at a bunch of carts on Craigslist and contacted a few sellers. I would like something that had an integrated cooler and a few other things like power for a radio etc. Since I can’t seem to find that setup used I guess I could always modify one that I buy.
I pretty decent at welding although I would have to rent or buy a tig welder but I could add somethings on. I was considering adding a mini fridge inserted into a newly added on compartment. Obviously need to add a marine battery and an inverter.
So if you own a cart, have you made any modifications to help you? Added anything that maybe would be great to have on a cart?
