I agree with Rusty, frozen or fresh doesn’t matter but it has to be dry.

You mentioned deep fried bacon, don’t fry it until it is dry and brittle, it is a great way to fill up the deep fryer, deep fried chicken wings in bacon grease, Slap Granny this is Good!!!!!

    We enjoy your video’s

I have an old cookbook around with a trick for lamb or or pork chops. Take the seasoned chops and fry them in lard just long enought to seal in the juices. Then finish on the grill.
I wonder how JB’s frydaddy would do on a nice big veal chop. Ill bet it would be juicy.

I have had the battered deep fried corn before and it was very very good. I have never had a deep fried PC that was not breaded although what JB did looked very good. I still think I would prefer it battered and spiced though.

    Nice job JB

JB, I’ve fried corn before. It’s great. I think this is one dish where fresh is not best. I use frozen ears, thaw and pat dry, lower into hot oil. When they just begin to turn a light golden, pull em’.
