Ask the manager if he knows about Street Eats, the management company that over sees the vendors. The reason I’m asking is, the manager may think he has some control over this, but he doesn’t. When you find this out, the submit a apt to Street Eats with your Check and tell the manager that you did so……………..The best…..BillyB
I would suggest giving him a “Marketing Plan” as opposed to a Business Plan that you gave the bank. They do not need to see your financial info. I would think they would only be interested in how you plan to operate at their store.
The outline you developed sounds good:
-Summary of business, products, etc / Mission
-Company Summary (management, etc)
-Pricing Strategy (menu, price per item)
-Visual pictures, etc
-Insurance, Licenses, etc
Suggest you add your Health Dept. Certification. I would not get into the rent factor in your written plan. Let them open that discussion and then negotiate from there. The “What’s in it for them” section is a good idea as well.
LOL…sometimes we are all “more than real” on this forum. Use the search button for countless hours of discussed information but everyone here is always willing to give their advice for any and all things you are not clear about. Welcome to the forum and good luck. DD
Thanks- helpful! I did a search for “business plan” before I posted, but looks like I should have searched for Home Depot directly…gotta remember that people on here are the real deal, not the text book….
One of many. Good luck. DD

Hi everyone,
I am hoping to set up my stand at my local Home Depot. I have already talked to the manager and he asked if I have a Business Plan that I could mail him – of course I said I do. However, the one I have is the one I provided to the bank for credit, etc. So I’m struggling with what I should include in a business plan that I need to give to Home Depot. For the bank, I lay everything out – cost of equipment, employees if any, salaries including my own, business structure, insurance etc. But for the Home Depot – they wouldn’t get any of that…would they? I wouldn’t be providng them with info on what I think my sales would be, etc I did’t think. So as far as I can tell that only leaves a small “Business Plan” to provide them with:
-Summary of business, products, etc / Mission
-Company Summary (management, etc)
-Pricing Strategy (menu, price per item)
-Visual pictures, etc
-Insurance, Licenses, etc
-Financial Plan (discussion of rent options and why my business would be good for their bottom line).
If anyone has any suggestions, they’d really be appreciated.
