Breakfast in Syracuse
Cosmo’s Pizza on Marshall St. You can get breakfast regardless of the time of day. All the eggs are cooked in a saute pan, not on a flat grill, any way you want. Great omelets. Pancakes until 11:00 0r 12:00pm. They cook right in front of you. The place attracts all kinds of people, which makes it a fun experience. I used to work there, so I know it’s a good place!
Doc’s Little Gem Diner, 832 Spencer Street (315)422-1687. Try the frittatas. A chrome dinette in an industrial neighborhood, recently featured in a "Zippy the Pinhead" cartoon, (so you know its good!).
You may also want to try the All Night Egg Plant in Chimneys Plaza on on Bridge street. Both are reviewed in the New Times website, Menus section. The Egg Plant has moved since I’ve eaten there, but I understand its still good. Doc’s has better ambiance (in a diner way), haven’t had the food in a long time, but I have friends who swear by it.
Will be in Syracuse for a short time in the AM — any breakfast places worth searching out?
