"…..but when in Chicago, I aways stock up on thier Maxwell Street Polish sausage."
I thought "Maxwell Street Polish Sausage" was a trademark of Vienna. They use the term on their posters and signage. Maybe it’s too generic.
Ok, I am NOT here to jump to Bobaks defense… but I have eaten many of their products over the past few years. I’d have to say the qualtiy is above average and the price makes it a great value.
Bobaks started out on Archer Ave. here in Chicago several years ago and expanded to the suburbs and packaged good. The food is not as good as years ago, but again, it is above average.
But me… I am not going to buy my Beef Weiners at Bobaks….. that is why we have the Vienna Factory right here in Chicago (Damen and Fullerton). I stick to the Polish and other sausages at Bobaks.
I’ve not had the weiners they make as of yet, but when in Chicago, I aways stock up on thier Maxwell Street Polish sausage. That’s good stuff.
Ok, I had never heard of them and found them at my local Lowe’s grocery store. We couldn’t finish them. My wife found the casing too rubbery and to be honest they had a very gamey taste to them for me.
Good thing they were on sale, I’d have been mad paying full price. On that note though, I did buy some of their keilbasa I will try this weekend. 🙂
