Oh, yes!
Hard to believe that no one has broached the Goat-burger. This was the little burger-joint that the crew of Second City would frequent in Chicago, hence the "Cheez-borger, Cheez-borger; no Coke, Pepsi; No fires, chips" Belushi skit on Saturday Night Live. All kidding aside, this is a very solid burger joint: flat-top grill rather than flame, putty knife rather than spatula, usually fresh Kaiser rolls rather than stale sesame-seed buns, crunchy pickles & onions, and I believe they served Jays potato chips (MidWest specialty) last time I was there (won’t swear to it). You find it underneath the Wrigley building on lower Michigan Avenue – just north of the river. Order a double-cheez-borger, chips and an Old Style, squirt a mound of catsup on the side and dip as one would a french dip into au jus. People will think you live there! Also don’t be surprised to find any of the Chicago sports press when you go there; used to see Mike Royko there from time to time.
