I enjoyed both Workman’s Friend and John’s Famous Stew. Both were solid servings and hearty.
This popped up this morning, after a day of wind, snow and ice, and I guess the IndyStar thought now was a good time for a “best of” list for chili. These all look OK, but they all have something that would keep me at home, unless I could get a bowl without it. Spaghetti and beans seem to a main ingredient at these places. Not a fan of either in my chili. But, some of the chili that shows up around that stuff doesn’t look too bad. If it’s up your alley and you need a bowl of chili next time you’re in Indy, here ya go!

It all looks good to me …
That pork Verde looks great…oh and the stew…oh forget it,l I’ll have a bowl of each!
You re right. Looks like the noodles are mixed in? I like a bed of noodles or rice at times , but spaghetti mixed in reminds me of school lunches.
No hominy in my Chile verde ether, thank you very much.
🙂
