Oops, that’s Rte. 210 & Rt. 228, near Waldorf, and I’m goin’ back! I hear their ice cream is also good.

I’m surprised this place has never been mentioned before on RF!

I just come across a GREAT RF place about 20 mi from Washington DC:
    B&J’s Carry Out:
“Famous for Dixie Style BBQ” on Rt. 213

Great Q, spicy/peppery, and fabulous local oysters (usual sandwich with tarter sauce and letter) Toasted buns, OMG. I even got one of their T-SHirts.

B&J is a classic that has been around ever since I can remember.  We would stop there when we would drive to the old Marshall Hall Amusement Park in the 1960s, which was just to the west on the Potomac River, across from Mount Vernon.  They only sell ice cream during the warmer months and it is fantastic – I almost always get a chocolate malt or root beer float.  Their onion rings are also top notch.  Take cash – they still don’t accept credit cards, or didn’t the last time I was there, anyway.  The location is about 1/2 mile north of MD 210 & MD 228 at MD 210 and Livingston Road.
