Nope, White House Chicken is still there, on Wooster St/Ave, near downtown Barberton. Take the Wooster St/Ave exit off I-76, immediately west of the funky dogleg, and head south a couple miles. White House is on your left.
Stopped there to turn Dad on to Barberton chicken during our minor-league ballfield tour week before last.
The required sides are hot sauce, cole slaw, and french fries – when the waitress suggests those, shake your head yes. Don’t even think about anything different. Surely, Barberton must be one of the last great bastions of fresh-cut, lard-fried fries anywhere….
Have a chicken rib (fried back) for me….

The Whitehouse is still listed on FoodPages:

OK..I’ll be near this area for the first time in a couple of weeks, and trying to decide between where to go..just looking for some feedback on:
Belgrade Gardens: seems to be the consensus best for food …but from photos I’ve seen, looks all remodelled and "niced" up..in a bad way…I really seek out historic old joints….that’s why I’m leaning towards..
Whitehouse:…from what I’ve seen on the web, the original in Barberton looks like a true classic place…
If it’s close to a toss up between the two on food, I’d definitely go to Whithouse for the ambiance…..any thoughts?
