I think we should do the Loveless Caf as the opening breakfast stop on Thursday morning (like we did with Happy Gillis in KC).  There weren’t exactly a lot of people in KC for the dinner Wednesday night at that German place, and David Sanders is still mad at everyone who missed Town Topic that evening…

Since the Loveless Caf is arguably the most famous Roadfood reviewed place in Nashville, I wouldn’t want to see people miss it due to bad traffic or a delayed flight.  However, this is assuming that most attendees will be arriving into Nashville sometime Wednesday.  If enough people think we should be okay with doing the Loveless Caf Wednesday night, then go for it.  I would wait to see what everyone’s travel plans look like before making the actual reservation.

    Just a thought…

    Danny

P.S.  Thank you, David for finding that late night burger joint.  It will be our Nashville version of Town Topic.

And Buttered Rolls, too. You can’t find those anywhere but New York and New Jersey.

I’m still irritated that we never get Buttered Rolls in flyover country. No wonder that Cubs fan jawed at Gov. Christie this weekend.

    HALT!!!!!!

Buttered hard rolls are standard in Connecticut (which, despite some Lawnguyland guy’s ridiculous claim, is not any part of New York).

    It’s a suburb…

Just trying to bump up this thread.

Didn't you hear, John? The spring crawl has been cancelled. The new event will be a pizza crawl in Gary, Indiana next fall. You and Jen should be excited about this change because Gary is a lot closer than Nashville.

I thought you all had gathered there already. I kept checking the thread hoping to see your pictures of the event but never saw any.

    John,

We are very unlikely to be able to attend. So I haven't Doodled.

However, the lure of Springfield may be irresistible no matter what the date.

    No, really.

I have it on the highest authority (you will have to Google it, for non-New Yorkers that means perform an Internet search) that Buttered Rolls (please capitalize) are REGIONALLY APPROPRIATE only in New York City & it’s immediately vicinity.

That’s because we have the best brats, buttered burgers and cheese curds right here in Rhode Island- in fact we invented them

    Fake News.

Ok,  Connecticut actually invented them but Rhode Island still gets the credit

    Folks,
I have attempted to get the ball rolling for next year's Crawl by starting a Doodle poll to choose a date for the event. I sent a PM to those who attended the last few Crawls and those I remember being involved in the discussions. Please check your In box and if I have missed anyone who might be interested in joining us in 2018 please let me know and I will PM you a link to the poll.

    Cheers
    Nagle

Speaking for the MOT Passover 2018 is March 31 -April 6

So those days are in the clear from that perspective.

My personal family graduation weekend is May 11-13

so the May 3-6 is less desirable in terms of possible prep.

Hot chicken. Must hit multiple eateries with hot chicken.

I have a car salesman friend in Nashville that mentioned Hattie B's, Prince's, Boltons, Moore's, Helen's(small chain). I have been to Hattie's,Prince's, and also 400 Degrees. All three were good and truthfully when it gets that hot I can't say any are better than the other for taste. The experience is different at all of them…

I think we've found the theme for the crawl. Fire up MS Excel.

I love Buttered Rolls in NY and NJ and NEVER wash ’em down with a smoothie!

Only cortados are regionally appropriate in NY and NJ
