Sherry’s on S Atlantic in Daytona Beach Shores(in a former McDonald’s building), is a soul food buffet, also can order off the menu. Fill you up breakfasts, fried chicken, catfish, meatloaf, mac & cheese, brewed tea, lots of vegetables, are all great. Cheap food and a lot of it. Boondocks on Peninsula in Wilbur by the Sea, south of Dunlawton Ave. north of Ponce Inlet, is the best place for seafood. The Grouper Reuben is better than Inlet Harbor. Pat’s, off Peninsula, in DB Shores is great for breakfast. Mike’s Galley in Beach Quarter on Atlantic, about a mile south of Dunlawton is great for breakfast or lunch, right on the beach. Homemade breads and sweets, He bakes his own turkey and ham. Pancakes are great too.
Our favorite place in Daytona area is The Brickyard for burgers! Their burgers rival just about any burger in Florida!! We also LOVE the Inlet Harbor restaurant at Ponce Inlet and of course Krispy Kreme for late night and deserts.
The Brickyard on Int’l Speedway Blvd for Burgers, Daytona Chili on US 1 for Chili & Dogs, right along side it is Pagono’s for NJ Pizza, Inlet Harbor in Ponce Inlet for Seafood, Booth’s Bowery on Nova road in Port Orange for some of the best Wings ever, the list goes on. If you come via 1-75 to Ocala then 40 to I-95 you will pass Roger’s BBQ a little east of Silver Springs on Rt 40. It’s one of several places in a rectangular, wooden building on the left coming east and well worth the stop.
