Terry’s Pizza in Huntsville, AL, has closed its doors after 48 great years. Yet, Domino’s and Papa John’s (yuck) live on. Founded in 1959 by Lou Pejza and family (originally from the Midwest), brought Chicago-style pizza to Huntsville. They had 3 locations here. Many memories of Terry’s will linger long for most Huntsville residents, including me. Good bye old friend as you were the first pizza I ever ate, your were at my "sweet 16 party" and was a big hit, you helped me through high school, days when I had to scrounge up enough change to buy you, through 2 divorces, 1 child enjoying you, and 2 grandchildren who will also miss you.
