So now we re wondering where this mystery customer hailed from, given their unorthodox order.
    Hmmm.
Probably from some commie stronghold that likes health food.
    🙂

Lettuce and tomato do go on a cheesesteak hoagie.

You should call it that if you’re keeping the L&T on there.

I don’t follow, call it what?

In Philadelphia, most places that sell cheesesteaks offer something called a “cheesesteak hoagie.” It is a cheesesteak with lettuce and tomato. So you can offer both a cheesesteak (no L&T) and a cheesesteak hoagie (with L&T).

Half a sauted onion and some sauted minced garlic yes, no to lettuce and tomato.

Onions under the cheese, granulated garlic, sent out as ordered, photo taken on it’s way out!

Looks like a lettuce and tomato sub. If there is steak and cheese under the salad that’s just wrong and Philadelphia has nothing to worry about.

    Unless you show up TJ!

There is a place here calledThe Great Western Steak & Hoagie Co.. I ordered a Cheesesteak to go and gasped when I opened it.

The right… steak, cheese, onions and peppers
    The wrong… marinara

While I am certainly no fan of it, I have seen marinara (or pizza sauce) on the cheesesteak menu in a few places. Not my cuppa tea, but apparently enough people like it that it is a thing with some sandwich chains.

That s almost an Italian Steak Sandwich from KC, except omit the chopping and add the breading
    Milanesa style. 🙂
