I am really looking forward to this trip.  My friend and I are staying a few extra days and have already booked our hot air balloon ride for Sunday morning!

On past trips, the group is split with about 60-70% staying at the group hotel.  I beleive anyone can stay where ever they like.

Personally, I am staying at the Sheraton.  See you in ABQ!

Under three weeks to go….starting my planning this weekend….it’ll go something like this – fly in – eat – fly out.   Perhaps some time for sleep…maybe!

!st Trivia Question— What is the Official State Question of New Mexico?? [huh][:0][:D]
2nd Trivia Question– What is the Official State Tie of New Mexico? [huh][:0][:D]

The first correct answers get a nice prize! You Must get both correct to Qualify!

Does New Mexico honor any other State s Concealed Carry Permits?

    And the Bolo!

Missed #1 by a mile but Got # 2 Correct! Close, but no cigar![:(]

    Google knows EVERYTHING!
The State of New Mexico no longer recognizes concealed carry licenses issued by the State of Utah but currently has a written reciprocity agreement in place with Texas. New Mexico Department of Public Safety is reevaluating the status of eighteen other states currently recognized on an informal basis, with the intent of entering into written agreements with these states to ensure compliance. These states are: Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wyoming

My friend Lisa and I will be arriving on Thursday as well.  Would also be interested in any dinner plans for the evening.

Is everyone staying at the Sheraton? As much as I appreciate the arrangements made for a special rate, it looks like a budget motel and a cab ride could save me much of the cost of the day’s eating.

Been doing a little research on where to find the best pie in Albuquerque and one name that gets consistently good reviews is Asbury Cafe at the New Mexico State Fair.

    http://www.asburyabq.org/cafe http://www.asburyabq.org/cafe/

Looks like I know where my first stop at the state fair will be!

The fair special is sour cream raisin. Heart, be still.
