The book that started it all is bigger than any previous edition, with 900 reviews of good-eats restaurants around the country, 200 of them new, and many more updated. The new edition features a ROADFOOD HONOR ROLL of the 100 most essential restaurants around the country — “each a unique expression of something wonderful about American food and foodways.”

Digital versions are available, but we like to carry the book on our road trips and have restaurateurs sign their write-ups; and because it is printed on paper designed to absorb maximum drips of barbecue sauce, gravy, fried-chicken juice, pancake syrup, and melting ice cream, it becomes a tactile and odoriferous souvenir!
