The Roanoker started small, got big, and now has a broad menu to match; but the one dish that has kept us coming back over the years is wafer-sliced ham: a plateful of proscuitto-thin pieces dripping red-eye gravy. With biscuits on the side, of course.

Sadly, The Roanoker restaurant has closed down forever after the covid pandemic.
