New Zion Baptist Church | Texas BBQ
Review by: Roadfood Team
If you’re in the Huntsville, TX area you need to stop by New Zion Baptist Church for some GREAT BBQ. You can smell it before you see it… at least we could on our motorcycles. As you walk up to the front door you have to walk by the smoker and the pitmaster and you can see that this cooker has been working for a long while.
Open the door and get in line. As you work your way to the front of the line you can see others picking up their plates or bagged orders and heading to a table.
What should I eat at New Zion Baptist Church?
We usually order family style; you get your drink and a plate with sides on it, pickle spear, onion, potato salad, and pinto beans, sit down and the staff brings over a platter of brisket slices, pork ribs, sliced pork sausage and pieces of chicken. All that’s left is to enjoy. They have desserts available, but we have never had room.
