Mayfield Diner
Review by: Roadfood Team
Breakfast stars at Mayfield Diner, where home fries are available plain or with peppers and/or onions or brown gravy. Coffee cups are kept full throughout the meal.
Mayfield Diner has all the makings of a great diner, and a great Roadfood stop. It has good food, great prices, hot and fresh coffee, and friendly service. Everything is fresh and made to order. Even when busy the wait is acceptable by anyone’s standards.
What should I eat at the Mayfield Diner?
Give the specials a try because they are truly special, and the prices can’t be beat. We had the breakfast special of two eggs, toast, home fries, and sausage, all for under four dollars. The cook here knows the difference between over medium and over easy eggs. The bacon is hot and crispy. Home fries are offered either plain or with onions and/or peppers. An area oddity, they also make the home fries available with a rich brown gravy.
Being a coffee drinker we also love the refills and warm-ups. The Mayfield has a friendly, family atmosphere; this is a spot we will frequent whenever I’m in the area. As at many area diners they offer delivery to the immediate area. The Mayfield Diner is a new version of a good idea.

Mayfield diner has recently been reopened; there’s a new family in charge, with new recipes and new menus. It has all the makings of a great diner, and a great Roadfood stop: good food, great prices, hot and fresh coffee, and friendly service. Everything is fresh and made to order. Even when busy the wait is acceptable by anyone’s standards.
