Lizzy’s Ice Cream

Glass dishes, metal spoons, and free ice water in real glasses may not matter much to some, but after eating ice cream all day out of disposable bowls with sometimes serrated plastic spoons, Lizzy’s was a very welcomed stop. A more refined ice cream shop of yore, this Waltham institution produces blue-ribbon ice cream in all the usual flavors, including a few surprises, like Cantaloupe or Charles River Crunch. Lizzy’s also boasts a take-out shop in Harvard Square.
