Hursey’s Bar-B-Q
Review by: Roadfood Team
The Burlington location of Hursey’s Bar-B-Q has been around since 1960, but the family bbq tradition goes back even father than that. Hursey’s Bar-B-Q puts out classic North Carolina pork bbq, along with ham and chicken, plus sides of homemade slaw, beans and hushpuppies.
What to eat at Hursey’s Bar-B-Q
Pork ribs were very good as was the sliced pork. Their homemade BBQ sauce (you can buy a bottle) was a little sweet, but hit the spot. All dishes come with two sides. My wife and I loved the baked beans and I liked the chopped slaw. The mini hush puppies were really good.
Just wish I had come earlier so I could have tried more. Counter person mentioned that the chicken was the most popular dish served, however they were sold out.

Very good food, even though our selection was restricted, because we got there just before closing on Christmas eve. Doors were already locked, but they let us in anyway.
