A family tradition since 1926, Hildebrandt’s has been cooking made-to-order hamburgers and soda fountain treats to generations of Long Islanders. Everything on the menu is excellent, but we recommend ordering the thin patty burgers and silver dollar fries for first-timers.

It’s open! The restaurant was saved by new buyers in 2022!

We ate there on March 10, 2024, and it’s delightful! A real step into the past, while serving an up-to-date menu topped by delicious ice cream. Hooray for the fantastic save of this iconic soda fountain!
