Although locations now spill out beyond the Massachusetts border, this super premium ice creamery started out in a Boston basement in 1975. Regardless of the location, however, all Emack & Bolio’s stores boast “exotic and original outrageous flavors” made using top-quality ingredients. The Cape Cod store in Orleans is a quaint, two-story house with a porch for al fresco eating.
